Tree planting event with City of Trees and St Mary’s R C Primary School

FRIDAY 22/10/21

We will be holding a tree planting event with City of Trees as part of the Northern Forest Initiative, with the aim to expand and develop urban woodland, increase wildlife and develop biodiversity in the area.  We will be planting approximately 105 trees.

Each year group will be allocated a time to get involved in the day.  Please see list:-

9.30-10.10am                     Tress Planting Year 1

10.15-10.55am                   Tree Planting Year 2

11.15-11.55am                   Tree Planting Year 5

1.00pm-1.40pm                Tree Planting Year 3

2.00pm-2.40pm                Tree Planting Year 4

Please ensure that your child brings a change of clothes /sturdy shoes or boots or wellies and a coat.  The event will still go ahead in the rain.

All spades and gloves will be provided by City of Trees.

We will be taking Photographs of the children so please ensure you have completed your Parental Consultation Form which can be accessed via the School Spider App.
